Golden Earring was a Dutch rock band formed in 1961 in The Hague. They achieved international fame with hits like "Radar Love", "Twilight Zone", and "When the Lady Smiles". Originally known as The Golden Earrings, they shortened their name in 1969. The band released over 25 studio albums and numerous compilations. Known for founding member guitarist George Kooymans and vocalist Barry Hay, these rock veterans had a career that spanned nearly 60 years, influencing generations of musicians.
