Grand Cadaver is a Swedish death metal supergroup formed in 2020. The band consists of Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect), Stefan Lagergren (The Grifted, ex-Treblinka/Tiamat), Alex Stjernfeldt (Novarupta, CHILD), Christian Jansson (Pagandom, Dark Tranquillity), and Daniel Liljekvist (Disrupted, Vorder, ex-Katatonia). Their debut album, "Into the Maw of Death," was released in 2021 and won the "Best Metal" award at the 2022 Manifest Awards. In 2023, they released their second album, "Deities of Deathlike Sleep." Their music is characterized by a classic Swedish death metal sound with elements of doom and darkness.
