Green River was an American rock band formed in 1984 in Seattle. The lineup included Mark Arm (vocals), Steve Turner (guitar), Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (guitar), and Alex Vincent (drums). They released the EP "Come On Down" in 1985, "Dry As a Bone" in 1987, and the album "Rehab Doll" in 1988. Their music blended punk and hard rock elements, contributing to the emergence of the grunge genre. After the band's dissolution, members went on to form influential bands such as Pearl Jam and Mudhoney.
