Grete von Zieritz was an Austrian-German composer and pianist born in Vienna in 1899. She studied under Martin Krause, a student of Franz Liszt, and Franz Schreker. Her oeuvre includes over 250 works for various ensembles, including "Japanese Songs" (1919), "Le Violon de la Mort" (1956–1957), and "Double Concerto for Two Trumpets and Orchestra" (1975). In 1928, she received the Mendelssohn State Prize for composition. Zieritz passed away in Berlin in 2001. The products available from the artist Grete von Zieritz include CDs.
