Guitari Baro is an instrumental trio comprising three prominent griot musicians from Guinea and Mali: guitarists Gaoussou Kouyaté and Kerfala Diabaté, and master balafonist Lassana Diabaté. Their music blends traditional Mande griot heritage with elements of jazz, Congolese rumba, rock and roll, Guinean dance bands, and Cuban music. Their debut album, "Guitari Baro," was released on September 26, 2025, under the Chrysalis Global label. The group made their live debut at the 2025 Dakar Music Expo and plans a European tour in 2025-2026.
