Guru was an American rapper and producer, known as a member of the duo Gang Starr with DJ Premier. The group released six albums, including "Moment of Truth" (1998). Guru also launched the "Jazzmatazz" series, blending hip-hop with jazz, with the first volume released in 1993. He collaborated with artists such as Chaka Khan and MC Solaar.
