Hal Schaefer was an American jazz musician and vocal coach. He played piano in the bands of Benny Carter, Harry James, and Boyd Raeburn. In 1958, he released the album "Showcase: Great Songs from United Artists Pictures." Throughout his career, he collaborated with directors such as Howard Hawks and George Cukor. In 2009, he was nominated for the Best Latin Jazz Award.
