Hazeen is an Australian anti-racist Muslim death metal band comprising Safdar Ahmed (guitar, vocals) and Can Yalcinkaya (drums, darbouka). Their music addresses themes of Islamophobia and bigotry in contemporary Australia, incorporating elements of death metal and avant-garde. Their debut album, "Sovereign Murders," was released in 2022 under Piranha Records, blending underground metal energy with Turkish and Iranian rhythms. The band collaborated with bassist Kian Dayani and Kurdish-Iranian thrash metal guitarist Kazem Kazemi, who was detained as a refugee in Australia's offshore detention camp on Manus Island for six years. The products available from the artist Hazeen include vinyls.
