Henri Vieuxtemps was a 19th-century Belgian violinist and composer, renowned for his violin concertos and virtuosic compositions. Born in 1820 in Verviers, he was considered one of the most significant violinists of his time. His most notable works include "Violin Concerto No. 5 in A minor, Op. 37" and "Violin Concerto No. 4 in D minor, Op. 31". Vieuxtemps was also a respected pedagogue, influencing many violinists of subsequent generations. He passed away in 1881 in Algiers.
