Herb Geller was an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger. Born in Los Angeles, he began his career in 1946 with Joe Venuti's orchestra. In the 1950s, he was active on the Los Angeles jazz scene, collaborating with artists such as Shorty Rogers, Maynard Ferguson, and Chet Baker. He released albums like "The Herb Geller Sextette" (1954) and "Fire in the West" (1957). After the death of his wife Lorraine in 1958, he moved to Europe, working in radio orchestras in Berlin and Hamburg.
