High Desert Queen is an American rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 2019 by vocalist Ryan Garney and guitarist Rusty Miller. After adding drummer Phil Hook and bassist Morgan Miller, the band relocated to Austin in 2020. Their debut album, "Secrets of the Black Moon," was released in 2021 to positive reviews. In 2024, they released their second album, "Palm Reader," under Magnetic Eye Records. Their music blends elements of stoner rock and doom metal with influences from grunge and funk. The band has performed at festivals such as Desertfest in London and Berlin and has collaborated with bands like Fatso Jetson and Sasquatch.
