Hootie & the Blowfish is an American rock band formed in 1986 in Columbia, South Carolina. The original lineup consisted of Darius Rucker (vocals, acoustic guitar), Mark Bryan (electric guitar), Dean Felber (bass guitar), and Jim Sonefeld (drums). Their 1994 debut album, "Cracked Rear View," became one of the best-selling albums in the United States, achieving 22× platinum certification. Notable hits include "Hold My Hand," "Let Her Cry," and "Only Wanna Be with You." The band has won two Grammy Awards and released six studio albums.
