Hope of the States was a British rock band from Chichester, active between 2000 and 2006. Their debut album, "The Lost Riots," released in 2004, was known for its orchestral arrangements and politically charged lyrics. The band was influenced by post-rock groups like Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. After releasing their second album, "Left," in 2006, the band disbanded.
