Horrendous is an American progressive death metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2009 by Damian Herring and brothers Matt and Jamie Knox, bassist Alex Kulick joined in 2016. Their 2012 debut album, "The Chills," showcased a traditional death metal approach, but subsequent albums like "Ecdysis" (2014) and "Anareta" (2015) shifted towards a more progressive sound. Their fifth album, "Ontological Mysterium," was released on August 18, 2023, under the Season of Mist label.
