Horslips is an Irish band formed in 1970 in Dublin. They are regarded as the "founding fathers of Celtic rock" for their fusion of traditional Irish music with rock. Their most notable albums include "Happy to Meet – Sorry to Part" (1972), "The Táin" (1973), and "The Book of Invasions: A Celtic Symphony" (1976). Their track "Dearg Doom" became iconic in the Celtic rock genre. The band disbanded in 1980 but later reunited for several performances between 2004 and 2012.
