Howard Blake is an English composer, conductor, and pianist, best known for his music for the 1982 film "The Snowman," which includes the song "Walking in the Air." Over a career spanning more than 50 years, he has created over 650 works, including film scores such as "The Duellists" and "A Month in the Country." In addition to film music, he has composed concert works like the "Piano Concerto" for Princess Diana's 30th birthday in 1991.
