Hugh Mundell was a Jamaican reggae singer known for his debut album "Africa Must Be Free by 1983" released in 1978, produced by Augustus Pablo. This album became a classic in roots reggae. Mundell later released albums "Time and Place" (1980), "Jah Fire" (1980), and "Mundell" (1982). He collaborated with notable musicians such as Augustus Pablo and Junior Reid. His career was tragically cut short in 1983 when he was shot in Kingston, Jamaica. Despite his brief career, he left a significant legacy in reggae music.
