Humble Pie is an English rock band formed in 1969 in Moreton, Essex. The original lineup consisted of Steve Marriott (guitar, vocals), Peter Frampton (guitar, vocals), Greg Ridley (bass guitar), and Jerry Shirley (drums). The band is known for their contributions to hard rock and blues rock, with their most successful album, "Smokin'" (1972), reaching number 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Notable songs include "30 Days in the Hole" and "I Don't Need No Doctor". After Frampton's departure in 1971, the band continued recording and touring with various lineups until 2002.
