Hurricane is an American heavy metal band formed in 1985. The original lineup included vocalist Kelly Hansen, guitarist Robert Sarzo, bassist Tony Cavazo, and drummer Jay Schellen. The band released five albums: "Take What You Want" (1985), "Over the Edge" (1988), "Slave to the Thrill" (1990), "Liquifury" (2001), and "Reconnected" (2023). The album "Over the Edge" featured their most successful single, "I'm on to You," which reached No. 33 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1988. In 2010, founding members Sarzo and Cavazo reunited, and in 2021, vocalist Dan Schumann joined the band. Hurricane is known for their melodic heavy metal sound and energetic performances.
