İlhan Mimaroğlu was an experimental Turkish musician and composer, renowned for his work in electronic music. He was associated with the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center and collaborated with notable figures such as Edgard Varèse and Vladimir Ussachevsky. His works include albums like "Tract: A Composition of Agitprop Music for Electromagnetic Tape" and "Sing Me A Song Of Songmy, A Fantasy For Electromagnetic Tape" with jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard. Mimaroğlu also served as the chief composer for Fellini's film "Satyricon" and released electronic albums on his own Finnadar label.
