Imperia is an international symphonic metal band founded in 2004 by Norwegian soprano Helena Iren Michaelsen, former member of Trail of Tears and Epica. The band comprises musicians from Norway, Finland, Germany, and Belgium. Their debut album, "The Ancient Dance of Qetesh," was released in 2004, followed by "Queen of Light" (2007), "Secret Passion" (2011), and "Tears of Silence" (2015). Imperia is known for its atmospheric metal style with operatic influences and orchestral elements. In 2024, they released the album "Dark Paradise."
