Impetigo was an American grindcore band from Bloomington, Illinois, active between 1987 and 1993. The band was known for incorporating film samples as intros to their songs and lyrics inspired by 1970s and 1980s horror films. Their discography includes albums "Ultimo Mondo Cannibale" (1990) and "Horror of the Zombies" (1992). In 2003, a tribute album titled "Wizards of Gore" was released, featuring contributions from bands like Blood Duster and Mortician. In 2007, the band reunited for a live performance, which was recorded on the DVD "Defiling the Stage" released in 2010.
