Irena Santor is a Polish singer and actress, renowned for her clear mezzo-soprano voice. She began her career in 1950 and from 1951 to 1959 was the lead soloist of the Polish folk group Mazowsze, touring worldwide. After leaving the group, she embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as "Piosenki Stare Jak Świat" (1966) and "Duety" (1996). In 2017, she received an honorary doctorate for her artistic achievements. In 2021, she announced her retirement from professional career.
