Jaap van Zweden is a Dutch conductor who served as the music director of the New York Philharmonic from 2018 to 2024. During his tenure, he led 245 performances and introduced 20 world premieres. Prior to this, he was the music director of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (2008–2018). Van Zweden is renowned for his interpretations of Anton Bruckner's works, including a recording of Symphony No. 3 with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2026, he will become the music director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. His career also includes collaborations with major orchestras worldwide.
