Jack The Joker is a modern progressive metal band from Northeast Brazil. The band consists of Raphael Joer (vocals), Felipe Facó and Lucas Colares (guitars), Gustavo Pinheiro (bass), and Vicente Ferreira (drums). Their debut album, "The Devil To Pay In The Backlands," was released on August 22, 2025, under Frontiers Music Srl. The band is known for integrating traditional Brazilian musical elements such as maracatu, forró, baião, and frevo into their progressive metal sound. Their music is inspired by the iconic Brazilian novel "The Devil To Pay In The Backlands" and explores metaphysical landscapes where human will confronts the hostile forces of nature.
