Jakob Leuschner is a German pianist born in 1974 in Freiburg. He studied at the Freiburg University of Music under Helmut Baltzer and Michel Béroff, and later at the Lübeck Academy of Music with Konrad Elser. He has won awards at several international competitions, including the Viotti International Music Competition and the Beethoven International Competition. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra and the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt. His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary works, with a focus on the Viennese classical school. He has served as a professor at the Cologne University of Music and currently teaches at the Detmold University of Music.
