Jeff Cotton is an American rock guitarist known for his work with Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. He joined the band in 1967 as a replacement for Ry Cooder and contributed to albums such as "Strictly Personal" (1968), "Trout Mask Replica" (1969), and "Mirror Man" (1971). After leaving the band in 1970, he co-founded the group MU, which released several albums in the 1970s. After nearly 50 years away from the music industry, he released his first solo album, "The Fantasy of Reality," in 2022.
