Jelen is a Czech acoustic music band founded in 2012, playing so-called roots music. Their work draws from popular genres such as country, folk, bluegrass, and blues. They released their debut album "Světlo ve tmě" in 2014, followed by "Vlčí srdce" in 2016. In 2014, they won the Anděl Award in the Discovery of the Year category, and in 2016, the Anděl Award in the Group of the Year category. The band members include Jindra Polák (vocals, guitar), Martin "Kása" Kasal (violin, keyboards, vocals), Ondra Málek (bass, drum, vocals), Tomáš Málek (guitar), Jan Rek (banjo, electric guitar), Josef Málek (accordion, vocals), Saša Smutný (trumpet), and Vít Polák (drums).
