James Travis Reeves was an American singer, songwriter, and musician, known as "Gentleman Jim". He was a pioneer of the Nashville sound and played a key role in the development of country music in the 1960s. His most notable songs include "He'll Have to Go", "Adios Amigo", and "Welcome to My World". Reeves was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. His music had international reach, particularly in Norway and Ireland, where he achieved significant success. He collaborated with artists such as Chet Atkins and Dottie West.
