Jimmie Vaughan is an American blues guitarist and singer, born on March 20, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. He is the older brother of renowned guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. In 1976, he co-founded The Fabulous Thunderbirds, releasing several albums with the band. After leaving the group in 1990, he released his first solo album, "Strange Pleasure," in 1994, which was nominated for a Grammy Award. His music is influenced by blues guitarists such as Albert King and B.B. King. In 1990, he won a Grammy Award for the album "Family Style," recorded with his brother Stevie Ray Vaughan.
