Jimmy Carpenter is an American saxophonist, singer, and songwriter known for his work in blues, soul, and R&B genres. Throughout his career, he has earned two Blues Music Awards in the "Best Instrumentalist/Horn" category. In September 2024, he released the album "Just Got Started," recorded at Greaseland Studios in San Jose under the direction of producer Christoffer "Kid" Andersen. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers, including songs by King Curtis and Allen Toussaint. Beyond his solo career, Carpenter serves as the musical director for the Big Blues Bender festival in Las Vegas and is the president of the Las Vegas Blues Society.
