Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band consists of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. Their commercial breakthrough came with the 2001 album "Bleed American," featuring the hit single "The Middle." The subsequent 2004 album "Futures" included another successful single, "Pain." The band is known for their contributions to genres such as alternative rock, emo, and pop punk.
