empty cell JMMR
JMMR is a music project from the USA focusing on electronic music with elements of jazz and funk. The album "Resistance Is Fertile" was recorded using layered first-take performances, with all tracks recorded at dance music tempos (between 120-172 beats per minute). Recordings began with voice memo beatboxes, onto which drums, synths, and horns were layered. The album features improvisational contributions from musicians such as Stuart Bogie, Cochemea Gastelum, Morgan Price, and Ricardo Quinones. The limited edition LP is pressed on "cherry base ecomix" vinyl and is housed in full-color gatefold jackets designed by Martin Olgolter.
