Jocy de Oliveira is a Brazilian composer, pianist, and multimedia artist known for her pioneering work in electroacoustic music and avant-garde compositions. Her 1960 album "A Música Século XX de Jocy" is considered a cult classic. Between 1987 and 1993, she created works such as "Onirico," "O Contar De Uma Raga," "Raga na Amazônia," and "Solaris," which were released on the album "Raga na Amazônia." She collaborated with notable composers like Igor Stravinsky, Olivier Messiaen, and John Cage. Her work incorporates elements of serialism, electroacoustics, and ritualistic music, contributing to the development of contemporary music in Brazil.
