Joe Cocker was a British blues-rock singer known for his raspy voice and dynamic performances. He began his career in the 1960s in Sheffield and gained international fame in 1968 with his rendition of The Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends." This version became his signature song, which he performed at the Woodstock festival in 1969. Other notable recordings include "You Are So Beautiful" and the duet with Jennifer Warnes, "Up Where We Belong," which won a Grammy Award.
