Joe Hill Louis, born Lester Hill, was an American singer, guitarist, harmonica player, and one-man band. Active in the 1940s and 1950s, he was known for his unique style, simultaneously playing guitar, harmonica, and drums. He recorded for various labels, including Sun Records, and his most notable track, "Boogie in the Park," is considered a precursor to heavy metal. Louis was also a pioneer of distorted and over-amplified guitar sound. He died in 1957 from tetanus following an infected cut on his thumb.
