Joey DeFrancesco was an American jazz organist, trumpeter, saxophonist, and vocalist, born on April 10, 1971, in Springfield, Pennsylvania. He was renowned for his virtuosity on the Hammond B-3 organ, contributing to its resurgence in jazz music from the 1980s onward. Throughout his career, he released over 30 albums and collaborated with notable musicians such as Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, and Van Morrison. Significant albums include "All of Me" (1989), "Where Were You?" (1990), and "In the Key of the Universe" (2019). DeFrancesco passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 51.
