John Trudell was an American Indian activist, poet, and musician. In the 1980s, he began collaborating with guitarist Jesse Ed Davis, releasing the album "AKA Grafitti Man" in 1986. This album was later re-released in 1992 and received critical acclaim. Trudell's music blended rock, folk, and traditional Native American elements. Other notable albums include "Heart Jump Bouquet" (1987) and "Fables and Other Realities" (1991). He collaborated with artists such as Jackson Browne and Midnight Oil.
