Joris Teepe is a Dutch jazz bassist who has resided in New York since 1992. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable musicians such as Benny Golson, Rashied Ali, and Don Braden. As a leader, he has released 16 albums, including "We Take No Prisoners" and "In The Spirit of Rashied Ali". His music spans genres like hard bop and avant-garde jazz. Teepe is also active as a composer and arranger, having created an extensive repertoire for big bands and symphony orchestras. Additionally, he serves as an educator and producer.
