Julian Prégardien is a German lyric tenor born in Frankfurt. He began his musical career as a member of the boys' choir at Limburg Cathedral. He studied at the Musikhochschule Freiburg and was a member of the Frankfurt Opera ensemble from 2009 to 2013. Prégardien is renowned for his interpretations of works by Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann, with his recordings of "Die schöne Müllerin" and "Dichterliebe" receiving critical acclaim. He has collaborated with prominent orchestras and conductors, including the Vienna Philharmonic under Franz Welser-Möst and Ensemble Pygmalion under Raphaël Pichon.
