Jumpin' Jesus was a German death metal band formed in 1989 in North Rhine-Westphalia. That same year, they released their first demo, "Live Wire," followed by "Braincramps" in 1990. In 1991, they released their sole album, "The Art of Crucifying," under Morbid Music/West Virginia Records. The album was recorded at Stage 1 Studio in Bühne, Germany, with Andy Classen at the helm. The band was part of the second wave of German death metal alongside acts like Protector, Torchure, and Incubator. After the album's release, the band disbanded due to musical differences among members.
