Jutta Weinhold is a German rock singer who began her career in the late 1960s. In 1969, she performed in the musical Hair, followed by roles in Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar. During the 1970s, she collaborated with Amon Düül II and Udo Lindenberg, contributing to his first live album, Livehaftig, in 1979. In 1985, she founded the band Zed Yago, considered a pioneer of dramatic metal. After legal disputes, she continued the project under the name Velvet Viper. In addition to her own projects, she is active as a studio and session musician. In 2011, she published the book Die Tochter des Fliegenden Holländers: Auf der Suche nach der verlorenen PhantaSIE.
