Karnivool is an Australian progressive rock and metal band formed in 1998 in Perth. The group consists of vocalist Ian Kenny, guitarists Drew Goddard and Mark Hosking, bassist Jon Stockman, and drummer Steve Judd. Their debut album, "Themata," was released in 2005, followed by "Sound Awake" in 2009 and "Asymmetry" in 2013. Their music blends elements of alternative and progressive rock and metal. "Sound Awake" reached number two on the Australian charts and achieved gold certification. The band has received several awards, including an ARIA Award for "Asymmetry."
