Kassav' is a French Caribbean band formed in 1979 in Guadeloupe. The group is credited with pioneering the zouk genre, blending traditional rhythms with modern influences. Their 1984 album "Yélélé" features the hit "Zouk-la-sé sèl médikaman nou ni," which contributed to the international popularity of zouk.
