Katarína Máliková is a Slovak composer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer from Polomka in the Horehronie region. She studied classical piano and composition. Her music blends elements of neo-classical, minimal synth-pop, experimental, glam rock, and retro styles from the 1970s and 1980s, drawing from Slovak folk and pop traditions. Her debut album, "Pustvopol" (2016), received critical acclaim and reached 8th place on the World Music Charts Europe in April 2017. In 2019, she released "Postalgia," which shifted towards synth-pop with elements of classical music. Máliková has performed at festivals such as Pohoda (Slovakia), Colours of Ostrava (Czech Republic), and Budapest Ritmo (Hungary).
