Kate and Anna McGarrigle were Canadian singer-songwriters from Montreal who began their musical careers in the 1960s. They released several albums, including 'Kate & Anna McGarrigle' (1976) and 'Matapédia' (1996), which won the Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year - Group. Their music blended folk and folk rock, and they sang in both English and French. They collaborated with artists such as Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt.
