Katy Carr is a British singer-songwriter with Polish roots, known for her songs about Polish history. Born in Nottingham, she lived in Poland until the age of five. She has released six albums, including the trilogy 'Paszport' (2012), 'Polonia' (2015), and 'Providence' (2020), inspired by Poland's experiences during World War II. Her album 'Paszport' won Best Concept Album at the Independent Music Awards in 2014. In 2016, she was awarded Poland's Pro Patria Medal for her humanitarian and musical work. Carr is a multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, ukulele, and banjolele, and has performed on international stages, including Glastonbury and WOMAD festivals.
