Kent Burnside is an American blues musician, the eldest grandson of the legendary R.L. Burnside. Born in 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee, he grew up in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He began his musical career at a young age, observing his grandfather's performances on the family farm. In the 2000s, he collaborated with Jimbo Mathus and toured with Buddy Guy. Burnside is known for his unique style of blues, which is dark, hypnotic, and danceable. In 2025, he released the album "Hill Country Blood." Throughout his career, he has performed at numerous festivals and collaborated with artists such as Dan Aykroyd and Bruce Willis.
