Ketil Bjørnstad is a Norwegian pianist, composer, and author born in Oslo in 1952. Initially trained as a classical pianist, he later turned to jazz and rock. He has released over 50 albums, including "The Sea" (1995) and "The River" (1996) under the ECM label. Bjørnstad has collaborated with artists such as Terje Rypdal, David Darling, and Svante Henryson. In addition to his musical career, he is a prolific author, having written approximately 20 books, including novels and poetry collections.
