Kick Axe is a Canadian heavy metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan, formed in 1974. Their 1984 debut album "Vices" received acclaim for its energetic guitar riffs and helped them break into the American market. The band achieved moderate commercial success in the mid-1980s with singles like "Heavy Metal Shuffle," "On the Road to Rock," and "Rock the World." After releasing "Rock the World" in 1986, Kick Axe disbanded and remained inactive until 2004, when they returned with the album "Kick Axe IV." Their music is influenced by arena rock from the 1970s and early 1980s.
